Blue Velvet

"She wore blue velvet
Bluer than velvet was the night
Softer than satin was the light
From the stars.

She wore blue velvet
Bluer than velvet were her eyes
Warmer than May her tender sighs
Love was ours."
Bobby Vinton - Blue Velvet

Bobby Vinton inspired the director David Lynch to write and produce his thriller movie "Blue Velvet".
Lynch was fascinated by this material. The director believed it could hide all the ugly and dirty secrets of society. Isabella Rossellini plays the role of Dorothy Vallens, the singer of Slow Club. The dark lady was wearing her blue velvet robe at night...she was covering her naked body but she couldn't cover the truth. The woman was threatened by a horrible man who kidnapped her son and her husband. Trying to save her family, she had to experience the repulsive world of sex, drugs and corruption.

Blue velvet, so beautiful and yet so mysterious.

"I'm seeing something that was always hidden. I'm involved in a mystery; I'm in the middle of a mystery. And it's all a secret."

Despite the shocking events, the arrival of a robin is the sign of a happy ending. "The robins represented love...So, I guess it means that there is trouble until the robins come."

The Alchemist

“We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.”
Paulo Coelho - The Alchemist

Last June I had the opportunity of working with wonderful people in a magic place: Egypt. Apart from modeling, I visited the natural beauties of Marsa Alam, traversed the great desert and felt astonished by the Luxor temples.
I am not able to put in words how this trip opened and shaped my mind. I will let some of these pictures talk for me...although the best ones were taken with my eyes and are now kept in my heart.

Lueli-ta

Life,
the greatest challenge,
like a puzzle,
you need to find
all the jumbled
fragmented pieces;
the vivid colored images,
even the blacks and whites.
Joined together
you may understand
the meaning
of your life.

Many of my pieces
have yet to be joined -
an endless puzzle, I think.
Jumbled Puzzle Pieces - Connie Gildersleeve

Although life is a continuous and endless puzzle, I found two pieces that perfectly join together...and I have to thank my dear friend for that!

I received this cute little bag containing a beautiful bracelet. This bracelet is meaningful to me for various reasons. First of all, it's a present from my dear friend and manager of www.lueli.es, Ewelina Wozniak. Secondly, it is absolutely gorgeous. And last but not least, the puzzles' pendants contain my favourite words: Tiger - Bird of paradise.

Call it destiny...

I guess I wouldn't have received my missing puzzle pieces if I didn't play tennis. Me and Ewelina met in Barcelona, when I was just a little girl (14 years old). She was working in the Sanchez-Casal Tennis Academy and I was playing tennis there. I remember how she used to talk to me in Polish...and then she laughed about my funny Polish accent! :) Anyhow, she was not only making fun of me, she also became a sort of big sister to me.
Thanks to people like Ewelina, Barcelona is a city that will always be in my heart, it's a place I can call home.

Congratulations Ewelina for creating this gorgeous line of accessories!
I really suggest you all take a look at the website www.lueli.es and find your missing puzzle piece.
